Thom has lived, studied and worked in England, France, Liechtenstein and Germany, gaining invaluable marketing and management experience with large blue-chip multinationals.
Academically, his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Marketing Management, has been supplemented by the Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing, and a Masters of Science degree in Marketing. Professionally, Thom has maintained the award of individual Chartered Marketer status since 1999. Thom is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, where he served as the Chairman of the Surrey branch, and on the South East England regional board.
This is also backed up with membership of the Chartered Management Institute, Product Development & Management Association, Strategic Planning Society and Marketing Society - so he is really heavily involved in marketing at all levels.
Thom has been involved with the Internet since 1992, and is passionate about reclaiming the Internet for marketing purposes, teaching a wide variety of business people web, CRM and general digital marketing topics. He is also a regular on the speaker circuit, speaking on ethical marketing, e-marketing, web design for marketers and CRM, to name but a few. Thom was also a lecturer for Birkbeck College, University of London, and a director for a London Business School. He became visiting professor of marketing at the Grenoble Business School in 2010 and is the International Marketing Director (EMEA & APAC) for an international web software company.
Thom is married and lives in Northamptonshire and Switzerland. He is a keen footballer, hiker and has a classic car as a restoration project. He runs a number of consultancy companies - for more details, please check the links page.
